Since entering the professional speaking arena, I’ve been told
I need a blog.
Then a podcast.
Then a book.
Then maybe a signature accessory to go with my keynote?
And look, I’m not knocking the hustle. In a sea of brilliant, polished, jazz-handed professional
speakers, we’re all out here doing our best “pick me” dance—throwing up reels, posting selfies
with mics, dropping hot takes on LinkedIn, all hoping to build a personal brand, land
the leadership keynote, and yes, get the damn algorithm to like us.
It’s like the Speaker Olympics meets America’s Got Talent, only with more blazers and fewer
cartwheels (well, depending on your speaker niche).
So here I am.
Blogging.
Let’s be clear though—I’m not here to be cute.
This isn’t a “top 5 tips to lead with sparkle” situation.
Why This Leadership Blog Exists
I didn’t build my career with flashy clothes or flowery metaphors.
I built it by being the toughest person in the room—no small feat when you’re the only woman in
the C-suite of a male-dominated business.
And honestly? I didn’t survive that world to turn into a walking inspirational quote.
What I bring to the stage—and now apparently to this leadership blog—is real talk.
Hard-won lessons.
Toolkits from the trenches.
And a few scars I earned the old-fashioned way: by refusing to stay quiet—even when it
would’ve been easier.
What You’ll Find Here: Challenger Mindset + Culture Truth-Telling
So what is this blog, really?
Think of it like a post-game breakdown for leaders:
The pep talk.
The gut check.
The “no, it’s not just you” moment you didn’t know you needed.
This is where I’ll talk:
– Business strategy without the jargon
– Innovation without the buzzwords
– Company culture without the muffins
Because let’s face it—workplace “culture” isn’t free snacks and casual Fridays.
This space is for leaders—women leaders, rising execs, change agents, future leaders and
truth-tellers—who are tired of business-as-usual. Who are ready to challenge what is, change
what isn’t working, and lead through change without losing their edge (or their minds).
Leading With Grit, Not Glitter
So welcome to the no-nonsense leadership blog I didn’t think I needed.
No performative fluff.
No “thoughtfluencer” vibes.
Just smart takes, useful insights, and some old-fashioned straight talk on what it really takes to
lead right now.
Let’s get into it.
